THE CREATION OF THE SONG HIDE ME

HIDE ME as with all of my other songs came to me in my sleep around 2015.

The Lord wanted us to know that even though there would be times of great trouble coming on the earth that just as He promises in His word, He would protect His people from the fearsome storms and winds that would blow - demonic attacks that can cause many to fear and to lose hope. No matter the storms, God will ultimately deliver those who trust in Him. As I laid asleep in bed, I heard a comforting melody that was soothing to my soul, then I heard in my spirit that the Lord would hide His people in times of danger, so that we would not be carried away by the flood of the enemy. I woke up inspired, grabbed a pen and paper and began to write the words that would come into my heart by the inspiration of the Spirit of God.

The word of God tells us in Psalm 91 that the one who dwells in the secret place of the Most High, shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. In other words, the Lord will protect the soul that stays in His presence. It goes on to say, surely, he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler and from the terrible diseases. The lyrics of ‘Hide Me’ are based on this prophetic Psalm, which proclaims that the Lord will surely deliver His people. Whenever we see the disturbing events happening in the world today, we can listen to the words of this prophetic song and take comfort and joy in the promises of God in the midst of a storm!
